Resources for practical conversations about budgets, saving and choices.
The existing programme
Școala de Bani is BCR's financial education programme. Its platform provides resources for teachers, including materials for introducing financial concepts in classroom activities.
Getting started
- Visit the teacher resources section and select age-appropriate materials.
- Check each course or event's current conditions; published resources do not guarantee a place on a particular course.
- Parents can start a discussion using a fictional budget.
An exercise proposed by Proiect România
Give a group 100 imaginary tokens to plan a class event. They choose spending on materials, transport and a reserve. One item then costs 10 extra tokens. What changes, and why?
Participants compare options and explain their decisions. The exercise requires no family income information, account opening or financial product purchases.
Suggested outcome
Each participant distinguishes a need from a want, balances a budget and explains a choice. This is our suggested learning objective, not a provider's guarantee.
