CODE Kids — community coding

Free coding education for children through libraries and local communities.

Fundația Progress

What it offers

CODE Kids is a Fundația Progress programme supporting digital education in rural areas and small towns. Children learn coding free of charge through local clubs. The official website provides a club map, a route to request a new club and ways to support the programme.

How to participate

  1. Parents: find a nearby club and ask its coordinator about ages, schedules and available places.
  2. Libraries and schools: use the official “Deschide un club” link and confirm current requirements and application dates.
  3. Businesses: discuss equipment, volunteering or club support directly with the foundation.

Local preparation — our suggestion

Identify a contact person, accessible space and existing equipment. Ask families which meeting times work for them. Confirm the provider's requirements before buying equipment.

Prepare your location, institution, coordinator, estimated interest and available resources. This is a suggested preparation checklist, not the programme's official eligibility policy.
